Guitar Hero: World Tour

Operation Market Garden was an attempt to destroy Nazi Germany before Christmas, 1944

Call of Duty: World at War

The Story mode has two campaigns, one with the U.S. Marine Corps fighting the Japanese army in the Pacific, and the other in the wake of the Soviet Red Army in the face of Eastern Europe near the end of war. A part of a standard titled "Makin Raid" shows an Allied prisoner of war being tortured by the Japanese before his throat slit by a katana. Set in 2014, five years after the "Big Shell Incident" (the events of the Plant chapter of Metal Gear Solid 2), Metal Gear Solid 4 portrays a world where private military companies (PMCs), have replaced the world's position of the armies, fighting wars for commercial purposes.
