Far Cry ® 2, the next-generation first-person shooter from Ubisoft, will take you deep into the most beautiful but also most hostile environments in the world: Africa! The players will discover an open world, brought to life in high definition next-generation technology.

Caught between two rival Factions in war-torn Africa, you are sent to take out "The Jackal", a mysterious character who has rekindled the conflict between the Warlords, jeopardizing thousands of lives. In order to fulfil your mission you will have to play the Factions against each other, your identify and exploit their weaknesses, and neutralise their superior numbers and Firepower with surprise, subversion, Cunning and, of course, crude force.

And the players assume the role of a mercenary stricken by malaria. You choose to play as one of the 12 mercenaries, mercenary not be elected then not-player characters in the game 'history. The idea here is simple: Kill, stay alive, and prosecute the terrorist leader known as the Jackal. The protagonist of the disease complicates matters: the players will have to take the medication on a regular basis to stay healthy. Stop taking this medication, and the main character becomes sick and grotesque. Free-roam environments to enable a player to explore at their own discretion, and you will be able to burn the savannah or cut down trees with gunfire.
