Nintendo revealed a variety of new Nintendo characters who will be playable in the game, including Meta Knight, the sword-wielding nemesis of Kirby, Pit, the angelic archer son of Icarus, Zero Suit Samus, the powerful Metroid series heroine least ® versatile armor, and Wario, who demonstrated a noxious attack of gastronomic proportions. Nintendo also revealed that the game would include Snake, the gritty soldier from Konami of the very popular Metal Gear series.The number of playable characters that players can control in a brawl has grown since the Super Smash Bros. melee; brawl is the first game of the series to extend past characters from Nintendo and allow players to control third-party characters. Like their predecessors, the object of the fight is to beat an opponent off the screen. This is a departure from the traditional fighting games, especially in its simplified commands and move the focus ring more outs knockouts. It includes a wider single-player mode than its predecessors, known as The Subspace Emissary (SSE). This mode is a plot-driven, the lateral-beat 'em Up with computer-generated and cut scenes of playable characters in the game.
